Lead Guitarists In Megadeth - 麥加帝斯合唱團的歷任主奏吉他手

Megadeth - Holy Wars

麥加帝斯合唱團（Megadeth）是一組全球知名的美國鞭打金屬（thrash metal）樂團，由主唱兼吉他手，也是負責該團體大部份歌曲創作的 Dave Mustaine 領軍，與貝斯手 David Ellefson 等人創立於西元1983年，至今已發行了11張錄音室專輯，6張現場專輯，2張EP，30張單曲，32部音樂錄影帶以及3張合輯。作為重金屬樂團在商業上最成功的團體之一，麥加帝斯合唱團的唱片銷售量於全世界至今已超過兩千萬張，於美國有連續六張的白金唱片紀錄，並連續七次被葛萊美提名為最佳重金屬表演團體，其聲望之高，和 Metallica, Slayer,以及 Anthrax 並列為"Big Four of Thrash"，成為1980年代最具影響力的鞭打金屬四大龍頭之一。在他們長達26年的樂團活耀歷程中，團員歷經了多組人馬變更，其中不乏有成員的藥物濫用(substance abuse)問題，更多 Megadeth documentary 可見此頁。

以下為麥加帝斯合唱團之歷任主奏吉他手的簡介：

Dave Mustaine (1983–2002,2004-present)

Dave Mustaine 於1961年9月13日出生於美國加州，過去曾是金屬製品合唱團（Metallica）的主奏吉他手，離團後（主要是因為酗酒、嗑藥等個人爭議問題而被樂團開除），於1983年自組了麥加帝斯合唱團（Megadeth），並身兼主唱及樂團主要的歌曲創作，他也是唯一出現在 Megadeth 每張專輯的吉他手。

Chris Poland (1984-1987,2004)

Chris Poland 於1957年12月1日出生在美國紐約，他原本是以爵士融合樂派出身的吉他手，透過好友也是 Megadeth當時鼓手 Gar Samuelson 的介紹下而加入了該團體，期間參與錄製了1985年的 Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! 以及1986年的 Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? 專輯。據說他是因為將樂團的樂器配備典當以換取海洛因毒品而被開除，直到 2004年，Chris 再次歸隊協助 Mustaine 錄製了 The System Has Failed 專輯。

Jeff Young (1987-1989)
Jeff Young 於1962年3月31日出生在美國的密西根州，他取代了 Poland的吉他手位置，並參與 Megadeth錄製了1988年的 So Far, So Good... So What!專輯，據說當時的 Mustaine 因過度沉迷於藥物的濫用並懷疑 Young 搶走了他的女友而迫使Jeff Young 離團。

Marty Friedman (1990-2000)

Marty Friedman 於1962年12月8日出生於美國，他是 Megadeth樂團中，除了團長 Dave Mustaine 及貝斯手 David Ellefson (1983 - 2002)之外，擔任主奏吉他最長久的一位成員，期間錄製的專輯有1990年的 Rust in Peace，1992年的 Countdown to Extinction，1994年的 Youthanasia，1997年的 Cryptic Writings以及1999年的 Risk，此時也是 Megadeth 團員組成最穩固，唱片銷售及樂團表現達巔峰之際。未料，2000年，Marty Friedman 卻發表了個人對於玩重金屬音樂已感到疲乏的想法，隨後便決定離團，自2003年移居日本，目前在日本的電視台主持了 Rock Fujiyama 以及 Jukebox English 等節目。

Al Ptirelli (2000-2002)

Al Ptirelli 於1962年9月29日出生於美國紐約，過去曾是錄音室的樂手，也是 Alice Cooper在1989-1993年巡迴演出的御用吉他手，自 Marty Friedman 在2000年離開 Megadeth 之後，Al Ptirelli 替代了他的位置，錄製的專輯有2001年的 The World Needs A Hero，2002年由於 Mustaine 遭受手臂嚴重的神經傷害問題無法彈吉他（據說可能是因為手臂過度地注射海洛因又加上極速的彈琴所致），Megadeth 因而宣告解散。

Glen Drover (2004-2008)
Glen Drover 於1969年5月25日出生在加拿大，為 King Diamond 樂團的前吉他手，Mustaine 的手傷在經過一段長期的療養及完全復原之後，於2004年再度將 Megadeth 重整歸隊復出樂壇，之後網羅了 Glen Drover 為新任的吉他手，他是 Megadeth在2004年的 The System Has Failed這張專輯發行之後才被任用，並參與錄製了2007年的 United Abominations 這張專輯。

看過以上兩部關於吉他英雄III電玩遊戲以 Slash（槍與玫瑰的前吉他手）作為號召的熱血宣傳短片之後，是否讓您有想要挑戰的衝動？

美國的饒舌歌手 MC Lars（本名為 Andrew Nielsen，自稱是"post-punk laptop rap"創始人）近日推出了最新的單曲 MV，歌名叫做 Guitar Hero Hero，還特別請來了速彈吉他名家 Paul Gilbert（Racer X 與 Mr. Big的吉他手）來擔任吉他獨奏的部份，客串演唱的歌手還包括了流行龐客樂團 Nerf Herder 的主唱 Parry Gripp，這首歌對於炙手可熱的 Guitar Hero電玩遊戲有著戲謔般地批評，說到這類的影音遊戲剝奪了孩子們真正玩樂團與學習樂器的機會，玩 Guitar Hero 並不會讓你彈得像 Slash 一樣，您覺得呢？頗值得玩味與思考。這首歌收錄在 MC Lars 的最新專輯'This Gigantic Robot Kills'中。Guitar Hero Hero 的 MV及歌詞參考如下：

50 Fastest Guitarists of All Time From Guitar World Magazine - 50 位速度最快的吉他手

該名單是出自2008年7月號的吉他世界雜誌（Guitar World Magazine），入選的吉他手風格除了搖滾,重金屬,也有爵士,鄉村,Old School等,從Les Paul 到 Paul Gilbert, Johnny Winter 到 Johnny Hiland,以及 Paco De Lucia 到 Al Di Meola，這些擁有敏捷手指彈奏速度（fleet-fingered）的吉他手在各自的音樂領域中成了他們的標誌而受到注目，名留整個吉他的當代歷史中，Guitar World 雜誌以非排名的方式選出了50位躍然指板上且速度最快的吉他大師（the 50 fastest masters of the fretboard）及其代表性的歌曲與所屬專輯及樂團，該篇文末也註記到清單尚有不足之處，一些妖魔級的速彈高手未全部列入，像是 Tony MacAlpine,Rusty Cooley, Shrapnel disciple,Vinnie Moore,Nuno Bettencourt,Zakk Wylde, 或許仍有遺漏的吉他翹楚，僅供參考如下:

關於Buckethead 的兩張 Young Buckethead DVDs 之罕見影片是西元1990年和1991年於舊金山所拍攝的，裡頭包括了三部完整的 Deli Creeps 演唱會（Deli Creeps 是成立於80年代末，90年代初的美國實驗搖滾樂團，Buckethead 為該團體的吉他手，其他成員包括主唱：Maximum Bob、貝斯：Daniel Monti 以及鼓手 Pinchface）、一段演唱會前的聲音測試（soundcheck）、一些後台有趣的把戲（backstage shenanigans）以及 Buckethead 精彩的吉他獨奏鏡頭。DVD 封面圖樣還是由 Buckethead 特別親手繪製的。

Young Buckethead DVDs 的導演及製作人是Jas Obrecht，他是 Guitar Player 的資深編輯，採訪及挖掘過無數吉他名人的故事，像是 Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Morse, Eric Johnson, The Edge 等，當他首次聽到一位十來歲的年輕小伙子傳來的DEMO（母帶，原始錄音卡帶）時，完全愣住了，他的音樂充滿著卓越的想像力和絕妙的吉他技巧，隨即馬上約了 Buckethead 和他的家人一起出來用餐並鼓勵、挖掘出他的天才。後來他們變成了朋友，1990年，當Buckethead 前往舊金山為音樂旅途啟程時，曾借住在Jas Obrecht 家中，由於Jas Obrecht 當時迷戀攝影，正好有機會為Buckethead 所屬樂團 Deli Creeps 的演唱會作現場場拍攝（台下將近12人的演唱會..），隨後也在不同時空場景下，陸續為Buckethead 拍攝了一些相關影音紀錄片段，包括即興的吉他Solo 錄音，誰也沒料想到十多年後這些珍貴的音樂片段會經整理後出版發行。這些作品即是：Young Buckethead Vol. 1 （2006）、Young Buckethead Vol. 2 （2006）、 Acoustic Shards （May 31, 2007）。

與 Young Buckethead DVDs 同時期（1991年）錄製的 Acoustic Shards CD 匯集了 Buckethead 的原音吉他即興獨奏（Solo improvisations on acoustic guitar），這些音樂幾乎是即時錄音樣貌，沒有過多的聲音效果編排處理（想像 Buckethead 走向客廳，拿起一把吉他即興地彈奏起曼妙地音符就錄了起來），呈現出真實、獨特、創新而令人愉悅的吉他錄音。這張CD總共有15首歌，全長52分鐘，包括樂迷所熟悉的 "For Mom" 以及 "Who Me?" 的早期版本等等， CD的封面以及海報的圖樣也是Buckethead 所畫的。（待續）

蒐集多種肯德雞桶當成帽子的吉他怪客（Buckethead 第一話）

Buckethead 在 Guns N’ Roses 的演唱會上表演的雙截棍、機器人霹靂舞和吉他即興solo。

這位蒐集多種肯德雞桶（KFC bucket）當成帽子的吉他怪客 Buckethead，表演風格超詭異，隨著彈琴時的節奏及律動，他的身體常不由自主地像個機器人，有時還會跳霹靂舞，耍雙截棍，噪音吉他 Solo 到一半還會突如其來融入輕快的兒歌，也嘗試用吉他音效來彈奏模擬出"雞"叫的聲音，儼然像是吉他世界裡的周星馳，完全顛覆了一般人對吉他手的刻板印象。Buckethead 過去除了曾接替 Guns N’ Roses 吉他手 Slash的位置一段時日之外，也參與許多動畫或電影的配樂，不但被 Guitar One 雜誌票選為十大速彈手（Top 10 Fastest Shredders Of All Time）的第八名，也被 Guitar World 雜誌選入五十位速度最快的吉他手（50 fastest guitarists of all time）的名單中。

Buckethead 出生於西元1969年，是一位美國的音樂創作人也是吉他手，他的本名叫作 Brian Patrick Carroll，自12歲開始彈吉他，知名的吉他高手 Paul Gilbert曾是他的老師，可謂名師出高徒，至今已發行過25張演奏專輯，同時也參與超過40張不同類型藝人專輯唱片的跨刀錄音工作，他的音樂風格橫跨各個領域，可以是前衛金屬,鞭打金屬,速彈,放客,電音,爵士,藍草,原音或是饒富實驗精神的各種音樂元素，他在官網中所描述的個人生平故事相當離奇怪趣，多半應該是杜撰的吧，由 Buchethead樂園史學家 Ronald L. WitherspoonRonald L. Witherspoon 說到，Buckethead 是在農場裡由小雞撫養長大的，性格相當孤癖而且經常受人欺負，之所以戴上面具，是因為雞舍裡的小雞抓傷了他的臉，天天帶面具就像過萬聖節一樣 ... Buckethead 的夢想是可以建造一個像迪斯尼一樣的樂園，也就是所謂的 Bucketheadland，而他所經驗的音樂歷程就是為了要豐富這個樂園，他只要來到這裡就不會感到寂寞...更多中文翻譯可參考這邊，看了想像力如此豐富的故事，或許不難和 Buckethead 戲劇性的怪異表演風格連結在一起吧？

Andreas Kisser - 巴西鞭打金屬名團 Sepultura / 神碑合唱團的吉他手

Andreas Kisser（全名：Andreas Rudolf Kisser）於西元1968年8月24日出生在巴西聖保羅州（São Paulo）的 São Bernardo do Campo，為著名的重金屬團體神碑合唱團（Sepultura）的吉他手，Sepultura 在1984年成立於巴西米納斯吉拉斯州的貝洛奧里藏特（Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais），早期的樂風（1980年代末到90年代初）被定位在死亡金屬（Death metal）與鞭打金屬（Thrash metal ）類別，之後又實驗性地融入了硬蕊龐克（Hardcore punk）以及工業之聲（Industrial music），甚至將金屬樂與巴西原住民音樂巧妙地結合，提供了 Groove Metal 金屬流派的演化藍圖。1987 年，當 Sepultura的吉他手Jairo Guedz 離團之後，創團元老 Max Cavalera（前主唱/節奏吉他手/歌曲創作者）便邀請了Andreas Kisser加入該團接替主奏吉他手的位置，Sepultura 於同年發行的 Schizophrenia（精神分裂症）專輯中，Kisser 首次為樂團帶來了許多不同以往的前衛音樂元素。1996年，自從 Sepultura 的靈魂人物 Max Cavalera 離團之後（改組 Soulfly / 飛靈樂團），大部份的歌曲創作主要出自 Kisser 以及鼓手Igor Cavalera。 Sepultura 樂團至今已發行過11張錄音室專輯，最近的一張是2009年的A-Lex，他們在商業上最成功的專輯分別有1991年的Arise，1993年的 Chaos A.D.,以及1996年的 Roots，這些唱片均在各地突破了百萬銷售佳績，樂團的唱片銷售量至今在全世界已累計超過一千五佰萬張，獲得多張金唱片與白金唱片銷售紀錄。

Kisser 個人參與過一些巴西電影的原聲帶配樂，像是'No Coração dos Deuses' 以及 'Bellini e a Esfinge'，也曾為 Roadrunner United 這張金屬大碟貢獻了3首的吉他錄製，Roadrunner United：The All Star Sessions 是金屬大廠 Roadrunner 為慶祝屆滿25周年於2005年10月份所推出的企劃合輯，網羅了旗下金屬名團及眾多樂手輪番上陣，主要由Joey Jordison（Slipknot的鼓手）,Matt Heafy（Trivium 的主唱/吉他手）,Dino Cazares（ Divine Heresy 的現任與 Fear Factory的前吉他手）,以及Robb Flynn（Machine Head 的主唱/吉他手）協力製作，他所參與的部份是 The Enemy, Baptized in the Redemption, 以及 No Mas Control 這三首歌。Andreas Kisser 近期也將推出名為 Hubris I & II 的個人首張雙CD專輯，預計會在2009年5月9日由 Mascot Records 唱片公司發行，其中的一首歌"R.H.E.T."已可在他的 MySpace 網頁上聽到。

Andreas Kisser 自1981年（13歲）開始彈吉他，主要從巴西的流行音樂中學習基本的和絃，之後受到 Kiss （吻合唱團）與 Queen（皇后合唱團）的啟蒙，改變了他的音樂人生，這兩組樂團曾在1980年代早期到過巴西表演，讓他有機會見識到華麗搖滾樂團的舞台魅力，興之所致，母親特地為他買了生平第一把吉他，在學期間開始和朋友組團，練習著 Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, Venom 以及 Metallica 等熱門樂團的歌曲，個人偏好的前衛搖滾團體像是Pink Floyd, Yes 等，之後還陸續吸收了各類型音樂風格的吉他手，像是藍調的吉他名家 Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn，古典的吉他大師 Segovia, John Williams, Romero Brothers, Leo Brower, Baden Powell, Villa Lobos, Tarrega, Fernando Sor 等。
Andreas Kisser 所使用的吉他廠牌，初期是 Charvel 和 Jackson 吉他，近日由於為 Fender 吉他護航而改用 Stratocaster model的吉他，偶而仍會用Jackson吉他。Kisser平日除了與吉他為伍以及陪伴家人之外，本身也是足球迷，為聖保羅足球隊伍 São Paulo FC 的忠實支持者，Kisser 的老婆是 Patricia Perissinotto，目前育有3個孩子（Giulia, Yohan, 以及Enzo）。

十位優異而著名的 Session Guitarists

知名的 Gibson 吉他樂器廠牌近日(03.05.2009)在官方網站發表了一篇 10 All-Time Great Session Guitarists 的文章，由資深的音樂新聞雜誌記者 Russell Hall 撰寫，所謂的 Session Guitarist，指的是那些可能默默無聞卻又經常出現在各大唱片中的錄音室吉他手或藝人演唱會中的伴奏吉他手，他們不一定歸屬於特定的樂團，大部份的時候是接受聘僱才會參與錄音或演出，他們擁有豐富的音樂涵養以及即興演奏的技巧，擅長各類別的音樂風格彈奏，簡單地來說，就是職業級的吉他樂師，然而，不乏吉他名人像是 Duane Allman 和 Jimmy Page，也是從 Session Guitarists 行列中脫穎而出的，Russell Hall 在文中列出了10位優異而著名的 Session Guitarists，並且簡略地說明了這些吉他好手的相關事蹟，詳文請自行前往10 All-Time Great Session Guitarists 這篇文章參考。
