Daron Malakian - 墮落體制內的吉他狂人

Daron Malakian 於1975年7月18日出生於美國加州好萊塢，他是墮落體制合唱團/System of a Down 的主奏吉他手，掌管了該樂團大部分的詞曲創作，近期發表的歌曲也加重了自己在演唱上面的份量（主要主唱是Serj Tankian ，亦為節奏吉他及鍵盤手），和其他三位團員一樣都是亞美尼亞人/Armanien 後裔血統，音樂中常反映出他們的政治理念與反戰思想。過去被吉他世界雜誌/Guitar World 票選列為史上最偉大的百名重金屬吉他手/The 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists Of All Time 排行中的第30位，也曾被Metal Edge Magazine票選為年度最佳吉他手的第四名。

Malakian Daron 小時候對重金屬音樂就非常著迷，在他四歲的時候聽到兄長播放KISS 樂團的唱片就像被電到一樣，後來也開始聽起 Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motörhead 以及 Ozzy Osbourne 等音樂，原本他想學打鼓，後來家人說他會吵死人於是轉而買一把吉他送他，當他正值血氣方剛的青少年時，金屬音樂的口味又加重了，接觸了像是Slayer, Venom, Metallica, Pantera, Sepultura 以及 Cannibal Corpse 等這類的音樂，直到他17歲左右，品味又一百八十度的大轉向為The Beatles，自爆提及John Lennon 是影響他寫歌最深的音樂人之一。Daron 目前居住在加州，家族包括母親則是居住在伊拉克，平日喜歡收藏蠟燭、波斯地毯、煙斗壺、樂器以及骷髏頭等。
